2. How we use data
We use collected information to provide and improve LedgerLeaf, including by authenticating users, processing receipts, generating spending summaries, enabling family sharing, and supporting account management.
- Provide receipt scanning, storage, and detail views.
- Generate budgeting insights and category summaries.
- Enable family invitations, membership management, and shared receipt spaces.
- Maintain subscription status and plan entitlements.
- Detect abuse, troubleshoot issues, and keep the service operational.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans may be managed through app-store billing providers. We do not store full payment card numbers. Subscription state, such as active plan, renewal timing, and related transaction identifiers, may be processed so that your account reflects the access you purchased.
5. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as needed to operate your account, provide receipt history, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will remove or anonymize data where reasonably possible unless retention is legally required.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete certain personal information. You may also manage subscription changes through the relevant app store and control whether receipts remain personal or are moved into shared family areas where supported by your plan.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to limit unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse of the data stored in LedgerLeaf.
8. Children's privacy
LedgerLeaf is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and address the issue.
9. Policy changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or operational improvements. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
